Sugar, not only sweet in your mouth, but it also gives sweet impact for your complexion. Sugar scrub remove the layers of old skin and reveal the youthful glow of the healthy skin underneath.

Benefits of sugar scrubs:
  • Sugar scrubs exfoliate the skin and deep cleanse it.

How to make Sugar Scrubs:

  • Prepare 1 part of Sugar
  • Prepare 1 part of Oil (my favorites are extra virgin olive oil and Grapeseed oil)
  • Mix those Ingredients in a glass jar
  • I usually add 2 teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder for 300 grams sugar-oil mixture because I like the scent and cinnamon help to cure acne problems
  • Voila!! Your sugar scrub is ready to use.
  • Because I have oily and acne prone skin, I usually wash my face with Tres’ Chic pure soap after I use sugar scrub to avoid pimples. But, for you who have dry skin, you just need to rinse it with lukewarm water and dry it with towel.

How to Get Shiny Hair

Gisele Bundchen - Pantene

As long as there is hair, there will be those longing for shiny hair and trying to find the best ways to get shiny hair. There are no magical answers to obtaining shiny hair but instead there are some tips that can lead you in the direction of achieving a shiny head of hair, here you will find 5 tips on how to have shiny hair.

Shiny Hair Tip #1: Rinse with Cool Water
I have asked numerous hair stylist what can be done to get shiny hair, most of the stylist have told me to make sure that after I shampoo and condition, I rinse my hair in cool water. Although cool water does not always feel so great in the shower, I have been told that it is a great way to close up the cuticles of the hair and closed cuticles help to give the illusion of shine. I always rinse my hair in cool water and my hair does seem more shiny.

Shiny Hair Tip #2: Indulge in a Hot Oil Treatment
There is no need to spend money on salon treatment when they are so many economical and low cost oil treatments sold at the local grocery store or drug store. Depending on the time of year, I will use a hot oil treatment on my hair from one time a month to every couple months. The cooler seasons my hair is always drier and less shine so I tend to use a hot oil treatment once every month, I love the silkiness and shine that a low cost at home hot oil treatment can offer.

Shiny Hair Tip #3: Drink that H2O
We hear it from our doctor, our Mother and anyone else concerned about us, that we should be drinking lots of water. The truth is most of do not get enough adequate daily water in take and the sad fact is that water deprivation affects every part of our body including our hair. So the next time you are considering passing on that glass of water, dream about that shiny hair you want so badly and drink up that water.

Shiny Hair Tip #4: Skip a Day of Shampooing
I will admit this shiny hair tip takes a little bit of getting used to. I used to wash my hair everyday but years ago somewhere along the lines I heard that skipping a day of shampooing is a good thing because it allows the oils on your hair to build up a bit and the oils give the hair its shine. At first when I skipped a day, my hair felt dirty and I was not happy, but the truth is I just kept in the routine of washing my hair every other day and now I usually have my best hair days on my skipped day of shampooing. I would never go back to washing my hair every day, skipping a day is well worth the shiny results.

Shiny Hair Tip #5: Dry Gently Using a Towel
Hair stylist have always told me never to rub my head vigorously with a towel as that can rough up the cuticles of the hair and give it a dull look. Instead very gently squeeze the excess water of the hair after shampooing and conditioning, it always better to gently squeeze and pat hair. If possible, then allow hair to air dry after combing.
Attempting to get that beautiful and shiny hair does not have to cost a lot of money nor does it need to be time consuming, by following some simple and easy shiny hair tips you will be on your way to that gorgeous, shiny head of hair!

How to feel beautiful from Inside

As Cliché as it sound, deep down we want to believe the beauty in our core, so when we stripped out from all the fashion and make-up, we still love our self and feel attractive in our own skin. So before pursuing external beauty fix your inside first. Here are 20 ways to make you feel good from inside.
  • Keep your heart open. See others with Magical Eyes and let love glow through you. Look beyond the masks people wear and see the beauty within them.
  • Begin each day with thoughts of gratitude. Appreciate every experience, even the challenges.
  • End each day by relaxing every muscle in your body. Start at your scalp and allow each hair follicle to breathe. Move to your forehead, your cheeks, your temples, your smile lines (call it natural Botox!). Relax your shoulders and watch then un-hunch. Relax your chest, your belly, your hands, your perineum, your hips, your knees, your ankles, your toes. Allow every part of your body to soften.
  • Eat a whole foods diet. For extra glow, include as many raw foods as possible.
  • Allow 10 minutes per day for stillness. Meditate, pray, breathe- just be quiet with yourself.
  • Affirm your inner beauty. Make positive statements of affirmation to yourself (i.e., “I approve of myself. I am valuable. I am loving and lovable. I am abundant.”) Say them. BELIEVE them.
  • Donate your time or money to helping the world. Being in service to those in need helps illuminate the bright shiny light within you.
  • Exercise at least 30 minutes each day. Even if it’s just a walk around the block, getting your juices pumping helps quiet the mind, tone the body, ground you, and nurture the spirit.
  • Release judgments and criticisms. Accept that all of us are doing the best we can, imperfect though our actions may be. Give us the benefit of the doubt as we strive to be the best we can.
  • Let your creativity flow. Find a way to express yourself and allow yourself time to tend the creative spark within you.
  • Smile often. Not only will it benefit your health, but it will touch others. Even better, laugh out loud. Try laughter yoga. One elderly lady wakes up each morning in her nursing home, laughs like mad, wiggles her arms and legs in bed, and screams, “I’m alive! I’m alive!” The nursing home attendants swear it’s her fountain of youth.
  • Have orgasms. Often. As regularly as possible. With or without a partner. Talk about inner beauty…
  • Be authentic. Tell the truth to yourself and others. Let your freak flag fly. Living outside of your own authenticity is never pretty.
  • Engage in work you love. Nothing like a job you despise to make you scowl.
  • Tend your spirit. Find spiritual community in a church, temple, mosque, or yoga class. Commune with the Divine. Let your aura sparkle.
  • Be free. Dance. Sing at the top of your lungs. Run. Scream. Paint outside the lines. Yodel during sex. Scatter daisies around the boardroom. Pass out balloons. Give free hugs. Get unstuck and set your inner freak free.
  • Pamper your body. If it makes you feel beautiful to wear lip gloss, give yourself a facial, take a long hot bath with lavendar bath salts, get a massage, or deep condition your hair, go for it! But do it for you- not for anyone else.
  • Avoid being mean. It’s a sure way to negate beauty.
  • Practice preventative health. Why wait until something goes wrong?
  • Look in the mirror every day and say, “I am beautiful, just the way I am.”
